Established in 1946, EDSFC was formed as a means of offering returned servicemen in the Essendon / Niddrie area a social and sporting outlet. Since its inception, EDSFC has stamped itself as the Premier club in the EDFL boasting 18 "A" Grade Premierships - 7 more than its nearest rival. It is also the only club in the EDFL to have won "B" Grade and "A" Grade Premierships in consecutive years. Today EDSFC continues to service the greater Essendon and Niddrie communities offering teams from Open Age all the way down to Under 10's.
